FQ Development Committed Club Shield
MFC is proud to report that we have successfully passed the audit process for FQA acceptance and been given official Tier 2 status of “Development Committed” for 2027.

MFC is proud to report that we have successfully passed the audit process for FQA acceptance and been given official Tier 2 status of “Development Committed” for 2027.
Feedback from FQ was overall excellent and we have been commended on our first effort.
We now await allocation of a spot in the FQA ladder as Tier 2 status does not guarantee a place in the leagues.
A timeline for the coming weeks. We will keep it short as there is lots that can change.
TIMELINE

2. Coming weeks - Letters of retention/retrial will be sent out to current MFC Players.
3. Coming weeks - declaration of leagues, which is when we learn where we will play.
4. From 19 October - Trials (for Academy positions + Div 1 community football). FQA trials must be completed by November 2nd.

Important things to note
• We will have a deadline for offer acceptance. This is important as it impacts on other players who may be offered retention or invitation to trial. If you cannot confirm your place within the allocated time frame, it may pass to another and you may be offered a retrial position.
• New FQ guidelines mandate trials in decreasing order of ranking ie. Gold clubs will be able to trials first, then silver, then bronze then us. This means our trials, by regulation, will be after other academies. We are unable to alter this.
• If any players are planning to trial for other higher clubs, please let us know. Obviously, we don’t wish for large numbers of players to move on but where a higher level academy would benefit a players development, we can help facilitate this. It is advantageous for the club to help in this situation, as it earns us points when players move to higher clubs and helps with retention as it is viewed by FQ as progression, not un-retained. An important note is that this is for players identified by our club as benefiting from the move, i.e. a top player in their team with a high potential.
